Statement of affairs.

377.100. Every corporation doing business under sections 377.010 to377.190 shall annually, on or before the first day of February, return to thedirector of the department of insurance, financial institutions andprofessional registration, in such manner and form as he shall prescribe, astatement of its affairs for the year ending on the preceding thirty-first dayof December, and the director, in person or by deputy, shall have the power ofvisitation of and examination into the affairs of any such corporation, whichis conferred upon him in the case of life insurance companies by the laws ofthis state; and all companies are hereby declared to be subject to andrequired to conform to the provisions of chapters 374 and 375, RSMo, andsections 376.291 to 376.330, 376.580, 376.610 and 376.620, RSMo, and governedand controlled by all the provisions in said sections contained; provided,always, that nothing herein contained shall subject any corporation doingbusiness under sections 377.010 to 377.190 to any other provisions orrequirements of the general insurance laws of this state, except as distinctlyherein set forth and provided.
