Deposit for costs and expenses.

377.160. Before any foreign insurance company doing business under theassessment plan shall be authorized to do business in this state, it shalldeposit, and always keep on deposit, with the director of the department ofinsurance, financial institutions and professional registration of this state,the sum of two thousand dollars, or secure the same to the satisfaction of thedirector, to indemnify the state against costs and expense for the prosecutionof the company for violations of the law, and to pay the costs and expenses ofthe examination of the company, which the director may make or cause to bemade.
