Special meeting to be called--notice.

379.530. After drafting the proposed articles ofassociation, it shall be the duty of the directors of saidcompany to call a special meeting, if a stock company, of itsstockholders; if a mutual company, of its policyholders; or if astock and mutual company, of its stockholders and itspolicyholders in the mutual department, by a notice, which shallbe published at least once a week in some newspaper of generalcirculation in the city, county or town in which said company islocated, the first insertion to be not less than sixty days, thelast to be not less than one nor more than six days, previous tothe day on which such meeting shall be held, but if there be nonewspaper published therein, then in some newspaper published inthe next nearest county, and by posting up a handbill in theoffice of said company; said notice shall state the time andplace of the meeting and the objects thereof, and shall furtherstate where a draft of the proposed articles of association canbe seen and examined.
