Certain information confidential, exception.

382.230. All information, documents and copies thereofobtained by or disclosed to the director or any other person inthe course of an examination or investigation made pursuant tosection 382.220 and all information reported pursuant to section382.100 shall be given confidential treatment and shall not besubject to subpoena and shall not be made public by the director,the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, or any otherperson, except to the chief insurance regulatory official ofother states, without the prior written consent of the insurer towhich it pertains unless the director, after giving the insurerand its affiliates who would be affected thereby, notice andopportunity to be heard, determines that the interests ofpolicyholders, shareholders or the public will be served by thepublication thereof, in which event he may publish all or anypart thereof in such manner as he may deem appropriate.
