Public counsel authorized--qualifications--compensation, how fixed.
386.700. The director of the department of economicdevelopment shall appoint a public counsel to serve at thepleasure of the director of the department. The public counselshall be an attorney at law licensed to practice law in thisstate and whose salary shall be fixed by the department directorwithin the appropriation made therefor.
