Director may examine certain lenders.

408.235. The director of the division of finance shall havefull power and authority at any time and as often as reasonablynecessary to investigate and examine the books, records, andpapers of any lender making second mortgage loans pursuant tothis act*, and may compel the production of all relevant books,records, accounts, and documents with respect to loans made undersections 408.231 to 408.241. Provided, however, this sectionshall not apply to those corporations whose powers emanate fromthe laws of the United States and those which are subject to thedivisions of credit unions and finance.
