Persons seventeen or older may donate blood--written permissionrequired for sixteen-year-olds.

431.068. 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 431.061, anyperson seventeen years of age or older may donate blood voluntarily withoutthe necessity of obtaining the permission or authorization of his or herparent or guardian.

2. Any person sixteen years of age may donate blood, if that personobtains written permission or authorization from his or her parent orguardian.

3. No person under the age of eighteen shall receive compensation forany blood donated without the written authorization of his or her parent orguardian.
