Applications to court.
435.425. Except as otherwise provided, an application to thecourt under sections 435.350 to 435.470 shall be by motion andshall be heard in the manner and upon the notice provided by lawor rule of court for the making and hearing of motions. Unlessthe parties have agreed otherwise, notice of an initialapplication for an order shall be served in the manner providedby law for the service of a summons in an action.
