Definitions.

436.100. As used in this section, the followingterms mean:

(1) "Campground", real property, other thanstate-owned property, which contains parcels for rent totransient guests for pay or compensation, which may includetemporary utility hook-ups for use by the transient guests,and where such transient guests generally use tents,recreational vehicles or some other form of temporaryshelter while on the rented premises;

(2) "Franchise", a written arrangement for a definiteor indefinite period, in which a person grants to anotherperson a license to use a trade name, trade mark, servicemark, or related characteristics, and in which there is acommunity of interest in the marketing of goods or servicesat wholesale, retail, by lease, agreement, or otherwise;

(3) "Franchisee", a person to whom a franchise tooperate a campground is offered or granted;

(4) "Franchisor", a person who grants a franchise tooperate a campground to another person;

(5) "Person", a natural person, corporation,partnership, trust, or other entity and, in case of anentity, it shall include any other entity which has amajority interest in such entity or effectively controlssuch other entity as well as the individual officers,directors, and other persons in active control of theactivities of each such entity.
