Certified copies of the records of the ancientarchives deposited in the office of the recorder of the county orcity of St. Louis, consisting of deeds, mortgages, marriagecontracts, settlements, adjudications and other instruments ofwriting relating to or affecting titles to real estate, and whichwere received from the French or Spanish authorities ofLouisiana, and which have been or may hereafter be recorded, asdirected by law, shall be received in evidence in all courts ofthis state.
