Reciprocal agreements with other states--attorney general's duties,when.
447.583. 1. The treasurer may enter into reciprocalagreements with other states to provide information needed todetermine what abandoned property such states may be entitled toescheat if such other states or officials thereof agree toprovide this state with information needed to enable this stateto determine what abandoned property it may be entitled toescheat.
2. At the request of another state, the attorney general ofthis state may bring an action in the name of the other state, inany court of appropriate jurisdiction within this state, toenforce the abandoned property laws of the other state against aholder in this state of property subject to escheat by the otherstate if:
(1) The courts of the other state cannot obtainjurisdiction over the holder;
(2) The other state has agreed to bring actions in the nameof this state at the request of the attorney general of thisstate to enforce the provisions of sections 447.500 to 447.595against any person in the other state believed by the treasurerto hold property subject to escheat under the provisions ofsections 447.500 to 447.595 when the courts of this state cannotobtain jurisdiction over such person;
(3) The other state has agreed to pay reasonable costsincurred by the attorney general in bringing the action; and
(4) The other state's laws do not require the holder to agreater duty than that provided in sections 447.500 to 447.595.
