Another state may recover property from state of Missouri, when.

447.585. 1. At any time after property has been paid foror delivered to the state under the provisions of sections447.500 to 447.595, another state is entitled to recover theproperty if:

(1) The last known address of the apparent owner of theproperty appearing on the records of the holder is in such otherstate and, under the laws of that state, the property hasescheated to that state;

(2) The property is the sum payable on a traveler's check,money order, or other similar instrument that escheated to thisstate and the traveler's check, money order, or other similarinstrument was in fact purchased in such other state, and, underthe laws of that state, the property escheated to that state; or

(3) The property is funds held or owing by a life insurancecorporation that escheated to this state pursuant to sections447.500 to 447.595, the last known address of the person entitledto the funds was in fact in such other state, and, under the lawsof that state, the property escheated to that state.

2. The claim of another state to recover escheated propertyunder the provisions of this section shall be presented inwriting to the treasurer, who shall treat the claim as if it werefiled under section 447.562.
