Governor, defined, duties.

454.986. (a) For purposes of this article, "governor" includes anindividual performing the functions of governor or the executive authorityof a state covered by sections 454.850 to 454.997.

(b) The governor of this state may:

(1) demand that the governor of another state surrender an individualfound in the other state who is charged criminally in this state withhaving failed to provide for the support of an obligee; or

(2) on the demand by the governor of another state, surrender anindividual found in this state who is charged criminally in the other statewith having failed to provide for the support of an obligee.

(c) A provision for extradition of individuals not inconsistent withsections 454.850 to 454.997, applies to the demand even if the individualwhose surrender is demanded was not in the demanding state when the crimewas allegedly committed and has not fled therefrom.
