Deputies, their duties.
483.080. Every clerk may appoint such number of deputies orassistants as may be authorized to be appointed under proceduresprovided by law who shall be at least seventeen years of age andhave all other qualifications of their principals and take thelike oath, and may in the name of their principals perform theduties of clerk; but all clerks and their sureties shall beresponsible for the conduct of their deputies or assistants.
