Change of name by notary, notice to secretary of state, procedure,fee--signature, how signed.

486.300. Any notary public who lawfully changes his or her name shallforthwith request within thirty days of such change an amended commissionfrom the secretary of state and shall send to the secretary of state fivedollars, his or her current commission, and a notice of change formprovided by the secretary of state, which shall include his or her new nameand contain a specimen of his or her official signature. The secretary ofstate shall issue an amended commission to the notary public in his or hernew name and shall notify the clerk of the county within and for which thenotary is commissioned. After requesting an amended commission, the notarymay continue to perform notarial acts in his or her former name, until heor she receives the amended commission.
