Records of corporations and financial institutions.

490.250. 1. Copies of all records and papers on file in the officeof any company incorporated under the general or special laws of thisstate, when certified by the secretary or president, and authenticated bythe seal of said company, shall be received as prima facie evidence in allcourts of this state, in the same manner and with like effect as theoriginals.

2. All depository financial institutions and trust companieschartered under the laws of this state or chartered by the federalgovernment and located in this state may provide such copies of allrecords, papers, and other documents as duplications permitted bysubsection 1 of section 362.413, RSMo, provided the financial institutionsretain information in a form permitted by subsection 1 of section 362.413,RSMo, so that the front and back side of checks and drafts are availablefor duplication.
