Commission to examine witnesses on interrogatories when awarded.
492.220. When a party to any suit pending in any court ofrecord in this state shall make application to such court in termtime, or to the judge thereof in vacation, for a commission totake the examination of witnesses, and shall support theapplication by affidavit, and shall have given to the adverseparty reasonable notice of such application, the court or judgemay, upon such terms as it may think proper, award suchcommission.
