Next friend, conservator, or guardian may employ attorney and incurexpenses.

507.182. The next friend, guardian ad litem or guardian orconservator shall have authority without an order of court tocontract for and employ an attorney upon a reasonable fee,including one contingent upon the outcome of such action orclaim, and to incur reasonable expenses in the preparation andprosecution of such action or claim, but any such fee andexpenses shall be subject to the approval of the court, but ifapproved by the court shall be payable out of any money orproperty recovered or obtained in the prosecution or settlementof such action, claim or any judgment thereon.
