Offense not cognizable before associate circuit judge--procedure.

546.095. If, in the progress of any trial before anassociate circuit judge, it shall appear that the accused oughtto be put upon his trial for an offense not cognizable before anassociate circuit judge, the judge shall immediately stop allfurther proceedings before him, and shall transfer the case to acircuit judge.
