Bail--in what cases--conditions of bond.
548.161. Unless the offense with which the prisoner ischarged is shown to be an offense punishable by death or lifeimprisonment under the laws of the state in which it wascommitted, a judge or associate circuit judge in this state mayadmit the person arrested to bail by bond, with sufficientsureties, and in such sum as he deems proper, conditioned for hisappearance before him at a time specified in such bond, and forhis surrender, to be arrested upon the warrant of the governor ofthis state.
