Fugitives from this state--duty of governor.

548.221. Whenever the governor of this state shall demand aperson charged with crime or with escaping from confinement orbreaking the terms of his bail, probation or parole in thisstate, from the executive authority of any other state, or fromthe chief justice or an associate justice of the supreme court ofthe District of Columbia authorized to receive such demand underthe laws of the United States, he shall issue a warrant under theseal of this state, to some agent, commanding him to receive theperson so charged if delivered to him and convey him to theproper officer of the county in this state in which the offensewas committed.
