Services for victims, requirements--exceptions.

595.055. 1. No public or private agency shall provideservice to a victim of crime pursuant to any contract made undersection 595.050 unless the incident is reported to an appropriatelaw enforcement office within forty-eight hours after itsoccurrence or within forty-eight hours after the victim of crime,a dependent, or a member of the family of the victim reasonablycould be expected to make such a report.

2. No service may be provided under section 595.050 if thevictim of crime:

(1) Was the perpetrator or a principal or accessoryinvolved in the commission of the crime for which he otherwisewould have been eligible for assistance under the provisions ofsection 595.050; or

(2) Is injured as a result of the operation of a motorvehicle, boat or airplane unless the same was used as a weapon ina deliberate attempt to inflict personal injury upon any personor unless the victim is injured as a result of the crime ofdriving while intoxicated or vehicular manslaughter.
