620.156. Members of the council shall not be compensated fortheir services, but they shall be reimbursed for actual andnecessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.The members of the council shall organize by electing one memberas chairman and another as vice chairman. Such officers shallserve for terms of two years. The office of rural development ofthe department of economic development, established by section620.161, shall provide staff to the council to aid it in theperformance of its duties.
