Evaluation of programs--interagency cooperation--"Show-Me" employers.

620.570. 1. The Missouri training and employment council,as established in section 620.523, shall review and recommendcriteria for evaluating project funding assistance, programcriteria, and other requirements and priorities to be used by thedivision in the evaluation and monitoring of Missouri youthservice and conservation corps projects.

2. The division shall work with the department of highereducation, the department of elementary and secondary education,all colleges, universities and lending institutions throughoutthe state to develop a system of academic credit, tuition grantsand deferred loan repayment incentives for young adults whoenroll and complete participation in corps programs. Thedivision shall adopt rules under chapter 536, RSMo, designed toimplement any such incentive programs.

3. The department of economic development and thedepartment of labor and industrial relations shall establish andpromote the recruitment of "Show-Me Employers" which shallconsist of Missouri-based corporations and businesses agreeing tointerview, for entry-level jobs, participants successfullycompleting a youth corps program.

4. The division of employment security within thedepartment of labor and industrial relations shall recognize andpromote within the labor exchange system the youth service corpsand the potential benefits of hiring participants who havesuccessfully completed any of the corps' programs.
