Placement programs to be maintained.
630.605. The department shall establish a placement programfor persons affected by a mental disorder, mental illness, mentalretardation, developmental disability or alcohol or drug abuse.The department may utilize residential facilities, day programsand specialized services which are designed to maintain a personwho is accepted in the placement program in the least restrictiveenvironment in accordance with the person's individualizedtreatment, habilitation or rehabilitation plan. The departmentshall license, certify and fund, subject to appropriations, acontinuum of facilities, programs and services short of admissionto a department facility to accomplish this purpose.
