640.140. The department of natural resources may enter intoagreements, contracts, or cooperative arrangements underappropriate terms and conditions with other state agencies,federal agencies, interstate agencies, political subdivisions,educational institutions, local health departments, or otherorganizations or individuals for the purpose of administering thestate drinking water supply program. The department of naturalresources may solicit and receive grants of money or other aidfrom federal and other public or private agencies or individualsfor the administration of section 192.320, RSMo, and sections640.100 to 640.140 or a portion thereof, to conduct research andtraining activities or cause them to be conducted, to financiallyassist in the construction of water works systems or portionsthereof or for other program purposes.
