Lead abatement grant projects, notification to departmentrequired--violation, penalty.

701.313. 1. Any local community organization, government agency, orquasi-government agency issuing grants or loans for lead abatement projectsmust provide written notification to the department no later than ten daysprior to the onset of a lead abatement project. The written notificationshall include, but not be limited to, the name of the lead abatementcontractor, the address of the property on which the lead abatement projectshall be conducted, and the date on which the lead abatement project shall beconducted.

2. If the local community organization, government agency, orquasi-government agency fails to provide written notification for eachproperty pursuant to subsection 1 of this section, a fine of two hundred fiftydollars shall be levied by the department.

3. If the local community organization, the government agency, orquasi-government agency is unable to comply with the requirements insubsection 1 of this section due to an emergency situation, as defined by thedepartment, the local community organization, government agency, orquasi-government agency shall:

(1) Notify the department by other means of communication withintwenty-four hours of the onset of the lead abatement project; and

(2) Provide written notification to the department no later than fivedays after the onset of the lead abatement project.
