Section 184:48-a Standard of Identity and Label Statements.

The commissioner of the department of health and human services shall adopt rules prescribing a reasonable standard of identity for oleomargarine or margarine and label statements for ingredients employed therein. No person, by himself or his agents or servants, shall render or manufacture, sell, offer for sale, expose for sale, or have in his possession with intent to sell oleomargarine or margarine which fails to meet the standard of identity and which is not labeled in accord with the provisions established by rules adopted by the commissioner.
