Section 227-C:28 Matching Grants Program Established; Barn Preservation Fund.


   I. A program of matching grants to preserve historic barns and agricultural structures in New Hampshire is hereby established.
   II. There is established a nonlapsing fund in the office of the state treasurer to be known as the barn preservation fund. The division of historical resources, department of cultural resources, is authorized to accept public sector and private sector grants, gifts, or donations of any kind to be awarded competitively to eligible applicants. All such moneys shall be deposited in the fund. Moneys in the fund shall be used for grant awards and necessary program expenses. Grants shall be matched with an equal or greater value of cash, labor, or materials provided by the applicant from private, local, state, or federal sources.
