Section 393:1-b Definitions.

The savings capital of the members of a cooperative bank, building and loan association or savings and loan association may be called shares or deposits and the earnings paid thereon dividends or interest and the reference to one elsewhere in this chapter shall mean the other and they shall enjoy equal status under the law. The owner of any such shares or deposits shall be known as a shareholder or depositor and the reference to one elsewhere in this chapter shall mean the other and they shall have all the priorities of a creditor in liquidation.
