18-4-6. Lincoln monument; state monuments division; powers and duties.
The state monuments division of the cultural affairs department shall be entrusted with the protection and preservation of the old Lincoln county courthouse. The state monuments division shall maintain and operate the monument as a memorial and state museum of old Lincoln county, shall have power to acquire and hold real estate in the name of the state and to act in cooperation with the federal government or any of its agencies in preserving the monument and shall have power to accept gifts, grants and donations from any person, firm, corporation, agency or any group of persons for the collections of the museum or the maintenance and operation of the monument.
