Section 31-15-2 - Definitions.
31-15-2. Definitions.
As used in the Public Defender Act [31-15-1 NMSA 1978]:
A. "court" means the district courts and magistrate courts of this state;
B. "department" means the public defender department;
C. "district" means the public defender district;
D. "judge" means judge of the district court or magistrate; and
E. "chief" means the chief public defender.
