1761 - Definitions.
§ 1761. Definitions. As used or referred to in this title, unless a different meaning appears from the context: 1. The term "authority" shall mean the corporation created by section seventeen hundred sixty-two of this title. 2. The term "bonds" and "notes" shall mean the bonds and notes authorized by the authority, pursuant to this act. 3. The term "mayor" shall mean the mayor of the city of Salamanca. 4. The term "supervisor" shall mean the supervisor of one or more of the towns comprising the district. 5. The term "district" shall mean the city and towns in the area operating the district hospital. 6. The term "board" shall mean the members of the authority. 7. The term "real property" shall mean lands, interests in lands, Seneca Indian nation leases, and any and all things and rights usually included within the term "real property," and includes not only fees simple absolute, but also any and all lesser interests, such as easements, rights of way, uses, leases, licenses, and all other incorporeal hereditaments and every estate, interest or right, legal or equitable, including terms of years and liens thereon by way of judgments, mortgages, or otherwise, and also claims for damages to real estate. 8. The term "project" shall mean the building of a new district hospital to replace the existing hospital. 9. The term "governing board" shall mean with respect to the city of Salamanca, the common council, and with respect to each town, the town board. 10. The term "city" shall mean the city of Salamanca. 11. The term "town" or "towns" shall mean any one of the towns or any or all of them associated in the hospital district and authority with the city of Salamanca. 12. The term "municipalities" shall mean the city of Salamanca and the several towns which together with said city are represented on the authority. 13. The term "minimum number of municipalities" shall mean the city of Salamanca and three towns. 14. The term "hospital" or "public general hospital" shall mean, in addition to the new public general district hospital erected as the project pursuant to this title, any additional medical building. 15. The term "additional medical building" shall mean such facility or facilities, as may be determined by the authority to be necessary to provide a public health center, diagnostic center, treatment center, dental clinic, dental or pharmaceutical dispensary, rehabilitation center, or nursing home.
