§ 120C-400. Reporting of reportable expenditures.

§ 120C‑400.  Reportingof reportable expenditures.

(a)        For purposes ofthis Chapter, all reportable expenditures made for the purpose of lobbyingshall be reported, including the following:

(1)        Reportableexpenditures benefiting or made on behalf of a designated individual in theregular course of that designated individual's employment.

(1a)      Reportableexpenditures benefiting or made on behalf of a designated individual'simmediate family member in the regular course of that immediate family member'semployment.

(2)        Contractualarrangements or direct business relationships between a lobbyist or lobbyistprincipal and a designated individual, or that designated individual'simmediate family member, in effect during the reporting period or the previous12 months.

(3)        Reportableexpenditures reimbursed to a lobbyist in the ordinary course of business by thelobbyist principal or other employer.

(b)        This section shallnot apply to any reportable expenditure of cash, a cash equivalent, or a fixedasset made directly to a State agency that maintains an accounting of thereportable expenditure that is a public record.  (2005‑456, s. 1; 2006‑201,s. 18; 2007‑348, s. 14; 2008‑213, ss. 23, 90.)
