§ 131F‑1.  Purpose.

The General Assemblyrecognizes the right of persons or organizations to conduct solicitationactivities. It is the intent of the General Assembly to protect the public byrequiring full disclosure by persons who solicit contributions from the publicof the purposes for which the contributions are solicited and how thecontributions are actually used. It is the intent of the General Assembly toprohibit deception, fraud, and misrepresentation in the solicitation andreporting of contributions. (1981, c. 886, s. 1; 1993(Reg.
