§ 143B‑261. Department of Correction duties.
It shall be the duty of the Department to provide the necessarycustody, supervision, and treatment to control and rehabilitate criminaloffenders and thereby to reduce the rate and cost of crime and delinquency. (1973, c. 1262, s. 3; 1999‑423, s. 7.)
