§ 153A‑28. Compensation of board of commissioners.

The board of commissioners may fix the compensation and allowances ofthe chairman and other members of the board by inclusion of the compensationand allowances in and adoption of the budget ordinance. In addition, if thechairman or any other member of the board becomes a full‑time countyofficial, pursuant to G.S. 153A‑81 or 153A‑84, his compensation andallowances may be adjusted at any time during his service as a full‑timeofficial, for the duration of that service.
