§ 161‑3. Oath ofoffice.
The register of deeds shall take the oath of office on the first Mondayof December next after his election, before a person authorized to administeroaths as defined in G.S. 11‑7.1. (1868, c. 35, s. 2; 1876‑7, c. 276, s. 5; Code, s. 3647; Rev., s.2652; C.S., s. 3544; 1987, c. 620, s. 4.)
