§ 20‑174.2.  Localordinances; pedestrians gathering, picketing, or protesting on roads orhighways.

(a)        A municipality or acounty may adopt an ordinance regulating the time, place, and manner ofgatherings, picket lines, or protests by pedestrians that occur on Stateroadways and State highways.

(b)        Nothing in thissection shall permit a municipality or a county to impose restrictions orprohibitions on the activities of any of the following persons who are engagedin construction or maintenance, or in making traffic or engineering surveys:

(1)        Licensees,employees, or contractors of the Department of Transportation.

(2)        Licensees,employees, or contractors of a municipality. (2007‑360, s. 6.)
