§25‑9‑708. Persons entitled to file initial financing statement orcontinuation statement.
A person may file an initialfinancing statement or a continuation statement under this Part if:
(1) The secured party ofrecord authorizes the filing; and
(2) The filing isnecessary under this Part:
a. To continue theeffectiveness of a financing statement filed before July 1, 2001; or
b. To perfect orcontinue the perfection of a security interest. (2000‑169, s. 1.)
