§ 50-74. Notice of collaborative law agreement.

§ 50‑74.  Notice ofcollaborative law agreement.

(a)        No notice shall begiven to the court of any collaborative law agreement entered into prior to thefiling of a civil action under this Article.

(b)        If a civil actionis pending, a notice of a collaborative law agreement, signed by the partiesand their attorneys, shall be filed with the court. After the filing of anotice of a collaborative law agreement, the court shall take no action in thecase, including dismissal, unless the court is notified in writing that theparties have done one of the following:

(1)        Failed to reach acollaborative law settlement agreement.

(2)        Both voluntarilydismissed the action.

(3)        Asked the court toenter a judgment or order to make the collaborative law settlement agreement anact of the court in accordance with G.S. 50‑75. (2003‑371, s. 1.)
