§ 58‑39‑85. Service of process; insurance‑support organizations.
For the purpose of thisArticle, an insurance‑support organization transacting business outsidethis State that has an effect on a person residing in this State shall bedeemed to have appointed the Commissioner to accept service of process on itsbehalf. The provisions of G.S. 58‑16‑30 and 58‑16‑45shall apply to service of process under this section, except that such serviceshall be mailed to the insurance‑support organization at its last knownprincipal place of business.
