§ 58‑58‑230. Examinations.

(a)        The Commissionermay conduct an examination of a licensee as often as the Commissioner considersappropriate.

(b)        An examinationunder this Part shall be conducted in accordance with the Examination Law.

(c)        In lieu of an examinationof any foreign or alien person licensed under this Part, the Commissioner mayaccept an examination report on the licensee prepared by the appropriateviatical settlement regulator for the licensee's state of domicile or port‑of‑entrystate.

(d)        When making anexamination under this Part, the Commissioner may retain attorneys, appraisers,independent actuaries, independent certified public accountants, or otherprofessionals and specialists as examiners, the reasonable cost of which shallbe borne by the licensee that is the subject of the examination.
