§8‑53.9. Optometrist/patient privilege.
No person licensed pursuant toArticle 6 of Chapter 90 of the General Statutes shall be required to discloseany information that may have been acquired in rendering professionaloptometric services and which information was necessary to enable that personto render professional optometric services, except that the presiding judge ofa superior or district court may compel this disclosure, if, in the court'sopinion, disclosure is necessary to a proper administration of justice anddisclosure is not prohibited by other statute or rule.
