4758.26 Expiration and renewal of license.

(A) Except as provided in section 4758.27 of the Revised Code, a license or certificate issued under this chapter, other than a registered applicant certificate, expires two years after it is issued and may be renewed in accordance with the standard renewal procedure established under Chapter 4745. of the Revised Code.

(B) Subject to section 4758.30 of the Revised Code and except as provided in section 4758.27 of the Revised Code, the chemical dependency professionals board shall renew a license or certificate issued under this chapter, other than a registered applicant certificate, if the individual seeking the renewal pays the renewal fee established under section 4758.21 of the Revised Code and satisfies the continuing education requirements established under section 4758.51 of the Revised Code.

(C) Except as provided in section 4758.27 of the Revised Code, a license or certificate issued under this chapter, other than a registered applicant certificate, that has expired may be restored if the individual seeking the restoration, not later than two years after the license or certificate expires, applies for restoration of the license or certificate. The board shall issue a restored license or certificate to the individual if the individual pays the renewal fee established under section 4758.21 of the Revised Code and satisfies the continuing education requirements established under section 4758.51 of the Revised Code for restoring the license or certificate. The board shall not require an individual to take an examination as a condition of having an expired license or certificate restored under this section.
