5123.181 Eliminating double billings and double payments.

The director of developmental disabilities and the director of job and family services shall, in concert with each other, eliminate all double billings and double payments for services on behalf of persons with mental retardation or another developmental disability in intermediate care facilities. The department of developmental disabilities may enter into contracts with providers of services for the purpose of making payments to the providers for services rendered to eligible clients who are persons with mental retardation or a developmental disability over and above the services authorized and paid under Chapter 5111. of the Revised Code. Payments authorized under this section and section 5123.18 of the Revised Code shall not be subject to audit findings pursuant to Chapter 5111. of the Revised Code, unless an audit determines that payment was made to the provider for services that were not rendered in accordance with the provisions of the provider agreement entered into with the department of job and family services or the department of developmental disabilities pursuant to this section.
