1573 - Displaying a foreign license during suspension or revocation.

     § 1573.  Displaying a foreign license during suspension or                revocation.        (a)  Offense defined.--It is unlawful for any resident or     nonresident whose operating privilege to drive a motor vehicle     in this Commonwealth has been recalled, canceled, suspended,     revoked or disqualified as provided in this title to display a     license or permit issued by any other jurisdiction or otherwise     during the suspension or after the recall, cancellation,     revocation or disqualification until the individual's operating     privilege has been restored by the department.        (b)  Display of regular license.--            (1)  A resident of this Commonwealth who holds a        commercial driver's license issued by this Commonwealth under        Chapter 16 (relating to commercial drivers) shall be        permitted to display a regular driver's license issued by the        department in the event that the resident's commercial        driver's license is disqualified.            (2)  A nonresident who holds a commercial driver's        license issued by a state other than this Commonwealth shall        be permitted to display a regular driver's license issued by        that person's state of residence in the event that the        nonresident's commercial driver's license is disqualified.            (3)  A nonresident who holds a nonresident commercial        driver's license issued by this Commonwealth under Chapter 16        shall be permitted to display a regular driver's license        issued by the nonresident's country in the event that the        person's nonresident commercial driver's license is        disqualified.        (c)  Penalty.--Any person violating the provisions of this     section commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be     sentenced to pay a fine of $200.
