§ 1-3-32 Penalty for violations –Enforcement by injunction. – Each violation of this chapter or of any regulations, order, or rulingpromulgated or made pursuant to this chapter, shall constitute a misdemeanorand shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) orimprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both, and each day aviolation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. In addition,the political subdivision or agency adopting zoning regulations under thischapter may institute in any court of competent jurisdiction, an action toprevent, restrain, correct or abate any violation of this chapter, or ofairport zoning regulations adopted under this chapter, or of any order orruling made in connection with their administration or enforcement, and thecourt shall adjudge to the plaintiff any relief, by way of injunction, whichmay be mandatory, or otherwise, as may be proper under all the facts andcircumstances of the case, in order to fully effectuate the purposes of thischapter and of the regulations adopted and orders and ruling made pursuant tothis chapter.
