§ 11-17-7 Forgery or counterfeiting ofcoins. – Every person who shall forge or counterfeit any coin in imitation or similitudeof any gold or silver coin current within this state by law or usage shall beimprisoned not exceeding ten (10) years nor less than two (2) years.
