SECTION 17-9.1-13

   § 17-9.1-13  Filing of registration cards– Transmittal to secretary of state. – (a) The original registration cards shall be arranged and maintained inalphabetical order by surname for the entire city or town and shall be filed insuitable containers. Any duplicate set of cards shall be maintained at thediscretion of the local canvassing authority, subject to prior approval fromthe state board of elections.

   (b) The local board shall be required to provide promptly tothe office of the secretary of state in connection with the operation andmaintenance of the central voter register information provided to the localboard relative to any voter registration. The information to be provided shallbe that which may be necessary for the secretary of state to operate andmaintain the central voter register in accordance with chapter 6 of this title.
